It’s all over. The gods of fútbol have spoken. South Africa 2010 came and went, leaving us wanting for more. We cried gooooooooooooooooooooooooool!, we suffered, we exploded with joy, we saw more fútbol than we thought we could stomach. Productivity at work plummeted, people got up early in the morning just to watch games. And it’s all gone. Just like that. On Monday, we go back to our normal lives. I know. It’s tough.

After my favorite teams, (the U.S. and Mexico), were out, the only thing I had left to look forward to was Ghana getting beat by Uruguay. I couldn’t help but want that little piece of revenge after their horrible time cheats against us. Luis Suárez delivered that dose of karma and justice with his in-box hand-ball, and as much as I hate cheating, it seemed appropriate for Ghana to get a taste of their own medicine.
