I am a semi-geek, but I am also a "stereotypical" chismosa (gossip-lover) girl.  Give me the People en Español, US Weekly and TV Notitas anyday and I will speed read them faster than you can say Jennifer Lopez.   But, do I buy them? No.  However, when I am in front of the TV, I can also watch every E! and VH1 show about celebrity bodies, booty and babies.

Internet what? 

After I finished my Master's degree in 2005, I was faced with a the reality of being broke, unemployed and  desperate.  Although my student debt wasn't large, (I had received a scholarship as an undergrad and a fellowship as a graduate student), the money situation was enough to make me worry about my financial security and professional success.
